¡Hola a todos!

So this week I finally got my travel plans! I'm leaving here on the 22nd of February! I can't wait to get to work serving the people of Retalhuleu, Guatemala! I was originally a little bit worried about packing everything into two 50 lb. bags, since I have acquired a "few" more things here in the CCM. But upon further inspection of my itinerary, Aero México allows a luxurious 70 lb per checked bag. So now I have one less thing to worry about.

Oh and I hit a milestone this week. First time being sick out of the house and sorta on my own. Nothing more than maybe a fever one day and super sore throat. So nothing too bad.

This week we also had a devotional. It was a recording of Elder Holland speaking to missionaries when "Preach My Gospel" first came out. And, oh my goodness, was it good. One thing that stuck out to me was one phrase he said that I have heard many times before but ever thought of it this way. "Ye are the hope of Israel." As missionaries we teach and invite people to come to Christ. But, I never really realized how vital missionaries were 'til then. There are people all over the world that have never heard of the Gospel of Jesus Christ or even of just Jesus Christ. And I get to be one of those that receive such an amazing and blessed opportunity to bring Jesus and His gospel into their lives. The closer I get to the 22nd the more surreal it seems to get. Soon I'll finally be in Guatemala serving the people. Something I've been waiting so badly for since I received my call in August. Something I've waited for and longed for since I was just a little boy listening to stories of my dad serving his mission. I'm so grateful for this opportunity that God has blessed me with and am so thankful for all of you that have helped get me here to this part of my life.

Sorry I don't have more to say about what happened during the week. Not much happened other than the normal daily routine. So I'll try to add some more in my next one. But 'til then... Hope ya'll have a great week, and I'll bug ya later :)
