Conferencia General

Ok, so a lot but not a lot happened this week. So I think it's going to be a short one this week... we'll see.

So, to start things off I have a new companion, our area doubled in size and we now have two houses. Insane... You'd think two houses would be nice, but boy does it complicate things. Now there's a lot more planning to be done every week.

I am now half way through training and have a new comp! Élder Canal is lit! He's from Peru, speaks un poquito🤏 English, and is bien pilas!! (awesome)

This week there's been a lot of sick people with different illnesses from a fever to kidney stones😬. So there have been many opportunities to use our priesthood authority to give priesthood blessings.

It rained!! Oh how I have missed the rain!!!! It began to rain Saturday for a couple hours and then stopped. And then today it absolutely dumped for about an hour. Sadly it hasn't lasted too long but I'll just say when it rains in Guatemala it RAINS!

Now for the most important topic of this week ... General Conference!!! Boy was general conference amazing this year, as always. But before I get to the good details Imma get into the fun details. So first of all for General Conference we meet as a branch to watch it, since there aren't many who have TVs. The problem with this is that around midday in Genova, due to heat, the power shuts off and turns back on every 15, 30 minutes or hour. So we would start watching it on the TV as a branch, and then on the laptop of an hermano with my little speaker, and back and forth and back and forth. Lets just say that Élder Canal and I were getting an exercise in while being the IT guys for the branch running back and forth from the office to the chapel.

Now for the GOOOD details. I think everyone who watched General Conference would say there is a certain emphasis and could all agree that it was on the Temples! The House of the Lord! The temples are so important in our life!! The temples are places here on this earth where we can feel closer to God our Father, where we can go to receive revelation and answers and guidance for anything in our life. This is a place where we can find rest from the turbulent world of today. I know that if we are temple bound, making it a priority in our lives that we will receive soooo many blessings and will find more peace in our lives. I know that this is true and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Hope you all had and will have a great week!!
Once again thanks everyone for your support and love!
