3 weeks later...👀

Buenos días!

Sorry for the radio silence. It's been a little wild these past couple weeks. Due to some issues, our pday time was cut short two weeks ago and an activity last week took a little too long. But today should be a chill pday. So I'm looking forward to it.

But the past three weeks have been amazing! Elder Baquedano and I have been working so hard lately and trying to help a good handful of people work towards baptism. Some have sadly ended up deciding that it's not their time. But others are working through their obstacles whether it be a substance or nerves or fears.

Two of which are Angel (14 years old) and Micheal (18 years old). They both are preparing to be baptized this coming Sunday. So please keep them in your prayers.

Amongst the work and them helping them prepare to be baptized, here's a few other things that have happened:

-as we were looking for the house of an inactive member we knocked on the door of someone's hut and the person answered the door with a ski mask on yelling asking if we were going to rob him. We clearly didn't stay too long to find out what else he'd do.
-we had a zone conference with the visit of Elder Giuffra! It was so good and he mentioned something as he was staring right at me that answered some personal questions I have been having. Glad I chose the front seat
-One night we slept outside on our terrace on hammocks due to a power outage and a wack storm that came into the port. Ended up getting a bit wet because the roof didn't protect us very well from the rain that was coming at us horizontally.
-Our friend Fernanda who was preparing to get baptized moved back to Champerico. We are getting back to helping her learn the Restored Gospel.

Champerico is awesome. I have really grown to love it here and it's crazy to think that transfers are already next week. God's time flies! I'm looking forward to what's going to happen this coming transfer.

Yesterday I ended up giving a last minute talk in church. Wasn't really expecting it, but 1 minute before sacrament meeting began, branch president asked me to give the opening talk. Luckily I had just studied  Jeffery R Holland's talk from this last conference. Probably one of my favorites.

We learn, in this talk, how we must become as a child to be worthy to enter the kingdom of God. It's not the innocence that permits us to enter. But it is the humility. A couple scriptures that have impacted me recently are:

Alma 5:
27 Have ye walked, keeping yourselves blameless before God? Could ye say, if ye were called to die at this time, within yourselves, that ye have been sufficiently humble? That your garments have been cleansed and made white through the blood of Christ, who will come to redeem his people from their sins?

28 Behold, are ye stripped of pride? I say unto you, if ye are not ye are not prepared to meet God. Behold ye must prepare quickly; for the kingdom of heaven is soon at hand, and such an one hath not eternal life.

John 17:
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do

In my bedroom I have these scriptures put up with the following questions to remind me of my purpose on a mission/earth: Have I glorified my Heavenly Father? Have I humbled myself before him? How can I be more humble to God? So now I ask the same question to you all: what more can you do to become humble? What more is there for you to do to Glorify our Heavenly Father?

I hope yall find some way to answer this question as I am striving to as well. I hope yall have a great week and I'll write yall later. Feel free to bug me on email!
Va pue!
