Una Locura

I'm sorry guys. Lately it has just been crazy with all the zone conferences and everything else on our plates, it has been nuts. I barely have pdays now due to the office work. But I feel bad for not writing an email for three weeks now so here is an update on some things.


I don't know if I have mentioned it but I have a new companion. Elder Martínez left to end his mission up in the mounts in chuicabal. And I received Elder Fasabi who is from Perú.

I am now the only office Elder who can drive the office car. Hence the added craziness for me because I have to drive the other three to do their errands.

Happy Mothers day!! I got to serenade the mothers with my voice and guitar in the Concepción Ward during the Mothers Day Dinner.

We are getting ready for an insane transfer coming up that is getting kick started with a General Authority visit two days after transfers. The day after is the mission leadership training in person, then we have 8 zone conferences during the month. 4 to say bye to the old presidentes and 4 to say hi to the new.

My amazing older brother came out to visit last Pday! With luck he made it out to Retalhuleu Guatemala without speaking Spanish. I'd say that takes some skill, jaja.

I now have to give training as a Referral Manager/Technology Specialist in all the Zone conferences so that's fun.

Got to pass by Nuevo Palmar on the way back from Zone Conference and say hi/bye to Hermana Flor, who we baptized in Pueblo Nuevo. I never could say bye when I left, so I felt like I should then... whoops.

Introduced Élder Gonzalez to the classic order of two McChickens. Here they're called McPollos.

Started to put to use the oven in the chapils/mission office by making brownies and brookies. They are too good.

But ya. It's been fun and crazy and exhausting. Whether we are in an office helping missionaries or out in the cities teaching, it's the same work. It's the Lord's work. And I am so great to be part of it. I'm trying to learn better on how to let myself be consumed by it and just give it all I have. If anyone has pointers let me know. I'll be studying that a bit more this week. But I hope this email calms some of your nerves that you might have had cause I went MIA for a minute there. But I'm back. I'll try to get an email in next week too. Love yall. Hope yall have an amazing week!

¡A LA GRAN!

Wow, is a mission hard, in a good way. To start off ... I have a companion that doesn't speak a lick of English. So there's that. I mean I'll learn Spanish much faster this way. But it definitely comes with its challenges when you struggle to understand what people are saying in lessons. So basically I just sit there until he asks me a simple question, asks me to read something, or gives me that look that it's time for me to bear my testimony. But other than that I consider myself pretty lucky. I'm in the awesome little town called Genova in the zone of Coatepeque. And basically all we do is walk up and down this little main brick road, occasionally taking a tuk-tuk to a different neighboring little town, sharing messages and working with three people on their journey to baptism for this coming week. Conferencia General

Ok, so a lot but not a lot happened this week. So I think it's going to be a short one this week... we'll see. So, to start things off I have a new companion, our area doubled in size and we now have two houses. Insane... You'd think two houses would be nice, but boy does it complicate things. Now there's a lot more planning to be done every week. I am now half way through training and have a new comp! Élder Canal is lit! He's from Peru, speaks un poquito🤏 English, and is bien pilas!! (awesome) This week there's been a lot of sick people with different illnesses from a fever to kidney stones😬. So there have been many opportunities to use our priesthood authority to give priesthood blessings. It rained!! Oh how I have missed the rain!!!! It began to rain Saturday for a couple hours and then stopped. And then today it absolutely dumped for about an hour. Puro Chapin Roller-coaster Ride

 Omgosh this week was all over the place. Let's get into it!!   And I'm going to try to keep this shorter To get things started, an Hermana that we met last week, we finally made it to her house and family to meet and teach them. We have visited them twice now and they are bien pilas!!!(AMAZING) The second time we met with them they expressed a desire to be baptised in the true church of God!! HOW AMAZING IS THAT!!! The love they have for God and Jesus already is amazing! This week I also got super sick. I must have eaten something bad the night before cause I was in the bathroom for 3 hours puking. So fun! Don't think I have ever felt or looked as dead as I did. Pero ni modo. When I woke up in the morning I was fine and had no more symptoms or pain. This week it has also started to rain. And when I mean rain I mean RAIN. It rains absolute cats and dogs here and we have found ourselves, many times, just standing in the rain in our many travels from area to area. So ...
