2 Corridos Pasados
The past two weeks have been a handful, to say the least. Lots of running around, resolving problems so that the presidentes don't have to. The last two weeks were spent like this:
Two weeks prior:
- preparación for the new presidente
- still finding it hard to help the father of Diana be ok with her desire to join the true church. Darn anti church of christ friends of his. Please pray for him.
- finding new friends to help prepare for baptism
- one day we decided to focus our finding efforts on searching for partial member families in one part of our area. The fruits of this day are shown below...
Last week: (was insane)
- Tuesday: the coming of the new presidente
- Wednesday: mlc in person (I got to perform a special number, I'll record the song once my voice is better so yall can hear it. No one recorded it)
- Thursday: zone conference and interviews
- Friday: another zone conference
- Taking care of the new presidente and his wife with the adjustment, while taking upon ourselves all of the responsibilities Presidente and Hermana Mckay had in the past.
- Met with our friend Karla and extended a baptismal date for the 19th! Please pray for Karla so that she can have the faith to keep pushing forward against the devil's attacks.
The truth is that these past two weeks have been pure craziness. Running around como loco trying to find time to leave and preach as well. And doing that all as I have been sick for the past 2 weeks now. So fun. Maybe when things "chill out" I'll get better... hope so.
But anywhos, it's been so fun getting to know the new mission leaders. Presidente and Hermana Pincay are awesome! Full of energy and crazy dad jokes to hype up the mission. I'm stoked to see what they got in store. His past job was actually a temple engineer in Ecuador. They have also worked as temple workers for a long time. So I hope they let us go to the temple now. How I miss the temple.
This next week I'll be coming up on 18 months, which is something insane to think about. Makes me ponder a lot on how I have done. If I have given it my all. If I have been a faithful missionary. I can say I haven't been perfect. But I'm hoping that these last 5 months of my mission will be the best. The time has gone by too fast. I am so grateful for this time I have had on my mission and the experiences that I have encountered. If any of you that are reading my email today (whenever today is) has thought of, or is thinking of, serving a mission. I beg you, before it's too late, serve a mission! You will never regret the decision to dedicate two years, or 18 months, of service to the Lord. It has blessed my life and has changed me. It could for you too.
I love ya and miss ya. I hope ya have a great new week! Keep persevering until the end! Peace out
