¡Champerrrrrrico!
Bueno. These past weeks have been quite eventful. First of all, I am no longer in the mission office!!!! That's right, I left! I got called back to the coast. Hence the title: Champerico. Moved right down the hour long road to the beach of Retalhuleu.
My new comp is Elder Baquedano. He's a Hondereño and he is actually from the same generación as me. So it'll be fun to get back together in the airport as we head home.
This last week we had interviews with Presidente Pincay. The Pincays are awesome and are so ready to get to work. Also, after my interview I got a pretty sweet promise from Hermana Pincay. She said that I'll be able to die in the mountains!!! For all who don't know, that's mission lingo. To die in the mission is to end your mission. So I'm looking forward to going up to the cold mountains of Guatemala right before I go home to the freezing cold of Loomis, California, right in time for snow season.
It's been a crazy week as we have extended about 6 baptismal invitaciones and each person has accepted. So please pray for the following friends of ours so that they can keep preparing themselves.
Fernanda Colorado
Iker Mendoza De Leon
Angel Samuel
Rosa Bautista
Karina
Now you're probably asking, hey but there are only 5 names? That's because this guy got baptized yesterday on Sunday!!
Anselml has been terrified of water and drowning his whole life, and for that reason was never baptized. And it wasn't until he really understood the blessings he was missing from the Holy Ghost, that he decided it was worth getting dunked in some water with a slight 0% of drowning during his baptism. So Wednesday he told us that he was going to get baptized Sunday.
It's important to know the blessings that we are receiving from the covenants that we have made, but more important to know what blessings we can receive for making more covenants with God or returning to keep those sacred covenants. God has so much to give and is just waiting anxiously to give it all to you.
Hope yall have a great week and that it doesn't get too crazy.
Bug ya later✌️
Elder Jensen
