¿¡Más Intercambios!?

Wow, this week went by fast... May possibly be because I had two exchanges again. I had an exchange with Élder Dabb and Junco. Élder Dabb is from Denver Colorado and Élder Junco is from Oaxaca México. I learned so much from both of them and thanks to them my conversational skills have grown a ton in Spanish. They helped me to better be able to converse with new people and have more trust in my skills. Other than that not a whole lot happened this week. Today we had Zone P Day which was a blast. We played chamusca (Chapin word for fútbol) and had pizza after. I may have had an entire pizza by myself. But then again it's Little Caesars and it doesn't fill at all. Tonight we had noche de hogar with Manuel Aguilar (the mission leader in the Rama de Genova Costa Cuca). And they had a visitor from the states! I don't remember her name sadly (I'm finding Spanish names are much harder for me to remember) but I do know she lives in a town called Colorado Springs south of Denver ...

Qué loca esta semana!

Dang what a crazy week it's been. So to start off here's a list of everything that happened. -2 exchanges -2 baptisms -Zone Conference -Stake Conference -And illness So as you can tell it's been crazy. Imma go day by day again for this email. MARTES So to start off the week we had an exchange with the Zone Leaders, and boy was that fun. I lead the exchange, my first exchange... but boy was it fun and soo good. I was with Élder Thomas and he is bien loco. He's a ton of fun and taught me how I can better be a missionary and great friend with the people. MIERCOLES The next day we met back up at Taco Bell, with not only our comps, but with the Élders de Colomba for yet another exchange. The only difference was that I was not leading and was in a completely different area and didn’t know anything. And the fact that I was sick to my stomach with a fever that night and got maybe 2 hours of sleep. JUEVES By the time I got back to my area and house on Thursday I was already fe...

Comida Santa!!

Well this week has gone by fast. And boy what a blast it was. So much fun and so many spiritual experiences. My, oh my, have I had a lot of different food this week. From amazing Baleadas to some interesting cow foot soup. Imma have a real problem here soon if I don't start working out here. So if anyone has some good body weight workout routines por favor send them my way😂 For our Wednesday night activity we played some chamusca! (fútbol) It was a ton of fun. And it even helped an investigator open up more and feel more comfortable with us for when we taught him the next night. The more time I spend here, the more I realize there are dogs literally everywhere. On the roads, on the trails, in the yards, in the houses, even on the houses!! You literally can't be anywhere without a dog in eye sight or barking at you. Normally I wouldn't think anything of it, but... if I get bit, there's a good chance of getting rabies. So I would have to, the same day, go to Quetzaltenan...

¡Qué Semana!

Wow... What a Week! I think Imma go through this week day by day so It doesn't sound like I'm jumping all over the place playing leapfrog. But before I get to this week I forgot to mention something last week. For all those from El Dorado Hills and surrounding areas that told me to look for a Élder Johnson. I found him. My first day in Guatemala, actually, in the Mission President's home. It was kinda nice to meet someone from home. LUNES So after I sent the Email last Monday we had some lessons that night. And one of the lessons was in Guadalupe, which probably means nada to ya'll. But pretty much it is a 3km half hour walk from our house. Which isn't too bad. But we weren't going home... We were going to Flores, an 8km 1 hour and something walk from Guadalupe. Which normally would have been fine 'cause we can just take a tuk tuk. But not after 7. After 7pm pretty much all the tuk tuks head home. And our lesson in Guadalupe went a little long. So ... No tuk...
