A Baptism y San Bernardino, Here I come!

Whoops sorry I forgot last week

This was another one of those weeks where a lot, but not a lot, happened.

Hermana Victorina was baptized after a long time talking with the missionaries and lots of difficulties in her life. But she's always relied on God and is now joining in his fold through baptism!!!!

I had exchanges with our DL, Élder Naverette, and that was awesome! I learned how to teach and lead a lesson so much better and we successfully got Hermana Victorina and Hermana Armenia completely ready for their baptisms last Friday.

That was until Hermana Armenia's toddler got an eye infection and it was then postponed until the next Friday ... que triste. But he's already getting better and we are looking forward to Friday.

On the exchange we got stuck in San Miguelito after 4:30 when there were no more buses. So we got to hitchhike in the bed of a pick-up. Yay!

There were a couple of times this week that I had to dangle on the outside of a bus as we traveled to and from San Miguelito flying down the freeway ... SO FUN ... and not terrifying at all.

When we were getting the font ready the morning of Friday, for Hermana Victorina, we found out there was no water in the church building so that whole day consisted of trying to get water to the church.

Now For this Week, the LAST WEEK of my Training

To start off we had a Baptism!!! Hermana Armenia was baptized Friday!!!! Her sons and mother came to the baptism and now want to work on preparing for baptism!!!

Our amigo, José, finally came to church!!! After a very long time of not being able to come to church due to his work schedule, but having a desire to be baptized he finally found a new job and came to church and now is working his way to the waters of baptism to a new covenant filled life with God!!

Now for a couple random things:

• Gotta kill a tarantula for a member this week. That was fun. Until it disappeared. But we found it smushed and dead 10 minutes later.
• There was a 6.5 Magnitude earthquake this week that I didn't even notice because I slept all through it. Apparently it was pretty bad and there's lots of collapsed roofs.
•Pday today we drew names for each other and did a t-shirt exchange. I'll put a picture of the dope shirt I got from Élder Canal.
•And we got transfer news.

Shoot, guess that's not something random... We Got Transfer News!!!! I'm heading to San Bernardino en Zona de Los Flores!!! I'm going to be in a Trio!!! With Élder Watson and Élder Achaga. A Gringo and Latino who both can speak English!!!! Por fin!! Nothing against people who can't speak English. I just miss speaking English. Speaking another language is cool and all, but I just miss English.
