Consegración
This week I learned something, something I think I really should have learned earlier, and that is the law of consecration. I realized last week that there are some things I could do better. I mean I was trying to be a good missionary, but I could've been better. This was something that I had actually talked to my mission president about in my interview. His response was that he was so happy that I realized that. Because he has been waiting for me to realize that I could do better. This reminded me a little bit of Jesus Christ. He knows we are perfect, he knows that we won't ever be exactly like him, but he is there waiting for us to realize that we can do better, and when we realize that and include him in our effort to become better, he will bless us. He will bless us with the energy and strength to do better. He will bless us with the joy that comes from living the gospel. He will bless us with success, but also trials to discover where we need to work a little harder, and "the Lord [will] strengthen [us] that [we can] bear up [our trials] with ease."(Mosíah 24:15) I know this to be true, because I have lived this here in my mission. I have seen and felt the blessings and joy that come from choosing to go through my trials with Jesus Christ at my side. And I know that when we do choose Him to be at our side, life becomes easier, not easy, but easier.
Sorry my email is a little different this week. It's been a wild one with travels to go half way to zone conference and then just to turn right around home because of road blocks, and then travels to another conference another day. You can say I have been running around a bit. And I know I didn't mention anything about general conference. I'll talk about that next week. Just felt like I need to share this a little more with ya'll. But I hope ya'll had a great week and I'll bug ya later! Love ya guys.
