DL-ing is rough but so fun

 Omgosh, these weeks have been rough but soo good. Here's a list of some stuff that happened.

- got my new comp Elder Contreras. An ex-Mexican Marine. He is crazy and so fun, and good at connecting and building relationships with everyone.
- lead my first district council. Kinda botched it, but that's alright.
- had exchanges with Elder Seufale Latu! He is such a dope guy. Just wish I wasn't in the bathroom that day until 3 pm so I could have learned more from him
- had exchanges with the ZLs and, omgosh, I learned so much from Elder Teare. He is so direct and honest with the holy message we have to share that the spirit comes so fast and strong.
- Having a bit of a struggle with finding people. But the second we prayed, we had a lot more success in finding people who do want to actually listen to us! Miracles!!
- Watching the district keep improving has been amazing. Están echando puro fuego!
- We, as a mission, have been prepping for a big conference that is coming up this next week on Valentines day, all the way in Xela in another mission. It's so big and I am so excited because we are going to get the chance to listen to one of the coolest Apostles. Elder Patrick Kearon! So excited!!!

So ya, these two weeks were a bit crazy. But spirit filled. One thing that we have been focusing on lately is prayer. A prayer is so stinking powerful. God is always blessing us whether we know it or not. But he has so much more. The cool thing is that all you have to do is pray for it. 

Matthew 11:
28 ¶ Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

All He wants is that you come to Him. Come unto Him in prayer and take His yoke upon you so that all the blessings He has waiting for you may flow into your life and make your burdens lighter and easier to carry. Just come to Him, that is all He asks.

¡A LA GRAN!

Wow, is a mission hard, in a good way. To start off ... I have a companion that doesn't speak a lick of English. So there's that. I mean I'll learn Spanish much faster this way. But it definitely comes with its challenges when you struggle to understand what people are saying in lessons. So basically I just sit there until he asks me a simple question, asks me to read something, or gives me that look that it's time for me to bear my testimony. But other than that I consider myself pretty lucky. I'm in the awesome little town called Genova in the zone of Coatepeque. And basically all we do is walk up and down this little main brick road, occasionally taking a tuk-tuk to a different neighboring little town, sharing messages and working with three people on their journey to baptism for this coming week. Qué loca esta semana!

  Dang what a crazy week it's been. So to start off here's a list of everything that happened. -2 exchanges -2 baptisms -Zone Conference -Stake Conference -And illness So as you can tell it's been crazy. Imma go day by day again for this email. MARTES So to start off the week we had an exchange with the Zone Leaders, and boy was that fun. I lead the exchange, my first exchange... but boy was it fun and soo good. I was with Élder Thomas and he is bien loco. He's a ton of fun and taught me how I can better be a missionary and great friend with the people. MIERCOLES The next day we met back up at Taco Bell, with not only our comps, but with the Élders de Colomba for yet another exchange. The only difference was that I was not leading and was in a completely different area and didn’t know anything. Conferencia General

Ok, so a lot but not a lot happened this week. So I think it's going to be a short one this week... we'll see. So, to start things off I have a new companion, our area doubled in size and we now have two houses. Insane... You'd think two houses would be nice, but boy does it complicate things. Now there's a lot more planning to be done every week. I am now half way through training and have a new comp! Élder Canal is lit! He's from Peru, speaks un poquito🤏 English, and is bien pilas!! (awesome) This week there's been a lot of sick people with different illnesses from a fever to kidney stones😬. So there have been many opportunities to use our priesthood authority to give priesthood blessings. It rained!! Oh how I have missed the rain!!!! It began to rain Saturday for a couple hours and then stopped. And then today it absolutely dumped for about an hour.
